Weda is a smart weather and clothing application designed to help users decide what to wear based on weather conditions, personal preferences, and their wardrobe.
Weda is developed and operated by Asen Mitev under the Mitev Smart Labs brand (“Weda”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
We respect your privacy and aim to collect and process only the information reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, and improve Weda.

1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Weda, we may collect or process the following information.
Account Information
When you create and use a Weda account, we may process information such as:
- Email address
- First and last name
- Date of birth, if provided
- Account identifier
- Profile preferences and settings
This information is used to create and maintain your account, synchronize your Weda data, personalize the application, and provide its functionality.
Location Information
Weda may request access to your device’s location in order to provide weather information relevant to your current location.
Location access is controlled by your device permissions. You can deny or disable location access through your device settings.
Weda may also allow you to manually select a city instead of using your current device location.
Location information is used primarily to retrieve relevant weather conditions and generate weather-based clothing recommendations.
Weather Information
Weda processes weather information associated with your current or selected location. This may include:
- Current temperature
- Feels-like temperature
- Precipitation and rain probability
- Wind conditions
- Humidity
- Current weather conditions
- Hourly forecasts
- Future weather conditions
This information is used to generate clothing recommendations and features such as Weda’s Later Today functionality.
Wardrobe Information
If you use Weda’s wardrobe functionality, we may store information about clothing items that you add to your wardrobe.
This may include:
- Clothing category
- Color
- Style or other garment characteristics
- Information you provide about a garment
- Internal identifiers associated with wardrobe items
This information allows Weda to generate recommendations using clothing that you actually own.
Clothing Photos and Machine Learning
Weda may allow you to capture or select a photograph of a clothing item so that the application can identify its clothing category using machine-learning technology.
Where clothing recognition is performed locally on your device, the photograph is processed using Weda’s on-device machine-learning functionality for recognition purposes.
Weda does not intentionally use clothing photographs for facial recognition or biometric identification.
Access to your camera and photo library is controlled through your device’s operating system permissions. You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Personalization Information
Weda may store preferences that you provide in order to improve your recommendations.
These may include:
- Temperature and comfort preferences
- Weather-related preferences
- Clothing preferences
- Color preferences
- Other personalization settings available within Weda
These preferences are used to make recommendations more relevant to you.
Recommendation History
Weda may maintain limited information about recently recommended outfits.
This allows Weda to avoid repeatedly recommending the exact same outfit when other appropriate combinations are available.
Recommendation history may include:
- Identifiers of recommended wardrobe items
- Outfit combinations
- Date or time of recommendation
Recommendation history is used to improve recommendation variety and personalization.
Notification Information
If you enable Weda notifications, the application may process information necessary to determine when a useful weather or clothing notification should be delivered.
You can disable Weda notifications through Weda or through your device settings.
2. How We Use Information
Information processed through Weda may be used to:
- Create and maintain your Weda account
- Authenticate users
- Retrieve relevant weather information
- Generate personalized clothing recommendations
- Recommend items from your wardrobe
- Provide Later Today weather insights
- Avoid unnecessary repetition of outfit recommendations
- Provide notifications you have enabled
- Synchronize account, profile, and wardrobe information

We do not use your personal information for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or other applicable data protection legislation applies, personal data may be processed on one or more of the following legal grounds:
Performance of a contract — where processing is necessary to provide Weda and functionality requested by you.
Consent — where your consent is required, including for certain optional device permissions or functionality.

Permissions such as location, camera, photo library, and notifications remain subject to the permission controls provided by your device and operating system.
4. Third-Party Services
Weda may rely on third-party service providers for parts of its functionality.
These services may provide functionality such as:
- Authentication
- Database and cloud infrastructure
- Weather information
- Application infrastructure and distribution
- Other technical services necessary to operate Weda
Weda currently uses Supabase for certain backend functionality, including authentication and data storage.
Weather information may be obtained from third-party weather services.
Apple and other platform providers may also process certain information independently when you download, install, purchase, or interact with Weda through their services.
Third-party providers process information according to their respective terms, privacy policies, and applicable data protection obligations.
5. Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal data.
Information may be shared with service providers only where reasonably necessary to:
- Operate Weda
- Provide functionality requested by you
- Maintain application security and reliability
- Provide infrastructure or technical services
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, legal process, or a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security, or integrity of Weda and its users.
6. Data Retention

Certain information may be removed when you delete individual content or delete your Weda account.
Some information may remain temporarily in technical backups or system logs before being deleted according to applicable retention procedures.

Weda provides functionality that allows users to request deletion of their account.
When you delete your account, we will delete or initiate deletion of personal information associated with your Weda account that we are not legally required or otherwise permitted to retain.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or system logs before being removed in accordance with applicable retention procedures.

Depending on your location and applicable law, including the GDPR where applicable, you may have rights regarding your personal data.

10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through Weda from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
Users are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their account credentials.
11. Children’s Privacy
Weda is not intended for children who are below the minimum age at which they may independently consent to the processing of their personal data under applicable law.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable data protection requirements.

Some third-party service providers used by Weda may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside.

13. Automated Recommendations and Machine Learning
Weda uses software-based recommendation logic and machine-learning functionality to provide clothing and weather-related recommendations.
Recommendations may take into account factors such as:

- Personal preferences
- Recent outfit recommendations
These recommendations are provided for convenience and informational purposes.
Actual weather conditions and individual comfort can vary, and Weda cannot guarantee that every recommendation will be appropriate for every person or circumstance.
Weda’s recommendations should not be considered medical, health, emergency, or professional safety advice.
14. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Weda may provide notifications relating to weather conditions, clothing recommendations, or other functionality available within the application.
Notification permissions can be disabled at any time through Weda or your device settings.
Disabling notifications does not prevent you from using the main functionality of Weda.
15. Future Premium Features
Weda may introduce optional premium functionality, including Weda Pro, in future versions.
If paid features or subscriptions are introduced, payments made through Apple’s App Store or another application marketplace may be processed by the relevant platform provider rather than directly by Weda.
Weda does not receive or store your complete payment card information when payments are processed by an application marketplace.
If future premium functionality materially changes how personal information is processed, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
16. Future Social Features
Weda may introduce optional social functionality in future versions.
Such functionality is not covered as currently active functionality merely because it is mentioned here.
If features involving public profiles, friends, outfit sharing, social interactions, or other user-generated content are introduced and materially change the processing of personal information, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those features become available.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Weda develops, our services change, or legal and regulatory requirements evolve.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of the document will be changed.
Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice or request consent for material changes.
